Droid Battery Tips: How to Improve Droid Battery Life

Droid is quite popular now. Most users are satisfied with its features, but I also see quite some users complain about its battery life. Droid is not only a powerful phone, but also a power hungry phone. Here are some easy tips on how to extend your Droid battery life.

Tips 1: Change settings and turn off things you are not using.

This tip applies to almost all android phones.

One thing that you can do is, on one of the three home screens click and hold down to add a new widget. There is a built in widget that is called Power Control, add this widget to the screen. This allows quick control over some of the less power friendly items on the phone.

The display brightness can be switched between three settings: 0%, 50%, 100%. You can just turn on the automatic control that changes with the ambient light around the phone. Or you can change it to 0% for battery saving.

WiFi/GPS/Sync/Bluetooth can all be turned off manually.

Tips 2: Make sure to put the phone in Sleep Mode

Although Droid is smart enough to put itself in Sleep mode when you are not using it, but it is also very easy to manually put it in Sleep mode by simply pressing the power button once.

Tips 3: Kill non-active apps

Fewer running apps will surely save your battery. You can try apps like Advanced Task Manager. It will automatically kill non-active apps for you.
