Laptops With Long Battery Life (8 Hours Or More)

Those who often travel around with their laptops would definitely agree that the battery life is one of the most important features on a laptop. Currently, most of the mainstream and mid-range laptop models have an average battery lifespan of about 4 hours or so. With rigorous use, they usually last about 2.5 to 3 hours.

Well, fans of long battery life laptops can now rejoice as there now more and more of such laptops to choose from in the market. The 13.3-inch Asus UL30A-X5 for instance is currently one of the most popular laptop models in the market, probably due to its amazing 12-hour battery life. Besides the astounding battery life, this Asus laptop actually has a lot to offer. For starters it is an ultra-slim model, measuring at just 0.98-inches in thickness (and weighing 3.74 pounds). It has a gorgeous (and very classy) brushed aluminum external casing and it also comes with a great set of specs. It has a 500GB hard drive, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and an Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo processor.

Another excellent laptop model in this class will have to be the stylish 13.3-inch Toshiba Satellite T135-S1310 laptop. The battery on this laptop can last close to 9.5 hours at one go. This model has 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive and an Intel SU4100 1.3Ghz processor. It was quite hard to find fault with this model. It has a great design and comes with a variety of neat features (including Bluetooth 2.1 and a HDMI output). The Acer Timeline AS4810TZ-4508 14-inch laptop is yet another laptop with a great battery life (8 hours). Its specs are very similar to the Toshiba model above. The difference is, the Acer model even comes with an 8X DVD optical drive.
