In Review: Dewalt's DCF813S2 Cordless Impact Wrench Kit

Despite being a newbie in the in the industrial power tool pool, Dewalt's new cordless impact wrench is growing some pretty strong legs beneath it. On shelves since early October 2010 the DCF813S2 was met with open arms (open wallets), and with smiling anticipation. From the very onset of its honeymoon period, the tool has only augmented its presently inflating fan-base and is expected to continue making waves throughout the entirety of its debut.

To begin, a subtle redesign of the tool body renders the wrench noticeably more compact and ergonomically comfortable; pulling the battery directly beneath a slightly elongated handle, the redesign offers both a comfortable grip and a sturdier standing base. Accordingly, with its extremely compact design, the tool is ideal for tight spaces, awkward applications and overhead work, the 12v, 3/8" cordless impact wrench packs a veritable amount of force into a surprisingly small package. Weighing only 2.3lbs, the tool is comfortable to use for long periods of time in and virtually any position or environment, and with three LED lights at the front of the tool, the wrench provides an effectively shadowless workspace for visibility from morning to night and every awkward spot in between.

Additionally offering 0-2,450 RPM, 0-3,400 IPM (impacts per minute), and a whopping 1150in-lbs of max torque, the impact wrench has explosive power for a huge number of industrial applications, and because the tool is powered by Dewalt's lithium ion battery technology, the impact wrench offers long lasting, non-dwindling, fast-charging big power. It's brilliant, comprehensive, and compact to provide users with the most comfortable operation, and the most impressive end results.
